My solution to the "bailout" that "they" are saying we need is to yeah, go ahead, get $700 billion, but don't buy the bad debt from the BANKS, who created the situation in the first place. Buy the bad debt from the DEBTORS. Save them from the bankers that gave them mortgages that they knew these people couldn't afford. They led them down a rosy path that the consumer soon found was full of thorns.
And then let the banks fall where they may. It is down here in the trenches that keeps this country moving. Not the fat cats with all the money.
Tell the FAT CATS that they have to go on a diet. Just like we, the people, have to do.
