Dog Whisperer

I just got into watching this amazing man work with dogs. He is just something else. His canine psychology is dead on. What he can do in such a short time with a dog who doesn't know how to be a dog is just wonderful. If you love dogs, you have got to see this show.

Spiders and Flies

Today, in the spider sanctuary that is my bathroom, I watched as a very small spider wrapped up a fly that was about 4 times bigger than herself. It was not only awe- inspiring to watch how she quickly and with great precision wound her fine silk around him as he tried desperately to escape the web. But it was also terribly sad. I felt so bad for the fly as he buzzed his wings trying so hard to get away. But I also know that it is Mother Nature taking care of her own and we are not to interfere. But it was a most poignant moment.

Out of the Darkness

Cat thoughts

Cats are the most interesting creatures. You cannot look at a cat sleeping without feeling calm inside. Dogs are needy, cats are aloof. Dogs have masters, cats have staff. I just finished reading a precious little book titled, "A Cat's Little Instruction Book" by Leigh W Rutledge. I found it at an antique store, although it isn't really an "antique" book. It was first published in 1993. But this book says it all. Just one quote:....." Try to avoid sitting around with your tongue sticking halfway out of your mouth; it tends to make you look slightly loopy".

This is the sweetest cat book I have ever read.

Ah, Tonight

Ah....tonight is the debate with Palin and Biden. I have to pop the popcorn and settle in for the comedy show. This ought to be good. I don't know alot about Biden, but Palin, I don't know how they could have got her "prepped" not to sound really dumb. Or maybe she has been faking us all out this whole time. It should be interesting. Very.
